Stage 1 is housed in a restored heritage pavilion and provides 3,608 sqm / 38,745 sqft of floor space. With a clear span of 15m / 50ft to the grid and a further 5m to the top of arched truss, set height is not an issue. Though not specifically designed as a water stage, Stage 1 has been used for several water sequences.
Whether it’s Ridley Scott’s Alien: Covenant, George Miller’s Mad Max: Fury Road, Buchanan’s mansion in Baz Luhrmann’s The Great Gatsby, New York’s Grand Central Station in James Vanderbilt’s Truth or the search for Superman in the seaplane in Bryan Singer’s Superman Returns, Stage 1 has the capacity and shooting mood for any production.
