Stage 8

Stage 8, the Hans Pomeranz Stage, remembers one of Australia’s most accomplished screen editors. Born in Holland and raised during the darkest days of WWII, Hans immigrated to Australia in the 1950’s. His first job was in Moore Park before moving on to the ABC. With film editing his strength, Hans went on to establish Spectrum Films in 1964 which moved to the newly built Fox Studios Australia in 1998.

Stage 8 is purpose designed for easy bump in and out productions. An easy-to-access and economical choice for rehearsals, motion capture work, television production, TVC shoots or even music video productions.

Stage 8 started life as a purpose built theatre and with growing pressure for more space, is now Fox Studio Australia's newest sound stage.

This stage provides productions with 7,586 sqft (705 sqm) of clear floor space. Stage 8 is also equipped with large dressing rooms, showers, toilets and greenrooms.
